The Best Pizza in Orléans

Orléans has quietly built up a pizza scene worth taking seriously, with spots ranging from wood-fired Neapolitan joints to family-run parlours slinging thick, cheesy slabs the way they’ve done for decades. Finding the right pizza for the occasion isn’t always obvious, though, so we’ve rounded up the top pizza spots across the suburb to save you the guesswork whether you’re feeding a crowd on game night or just craving a solid weeknight dinner. N.B. This list is based primarily on a reader poll of Orléans Connect subscribers and our own experiences.

📍 4042 Innes Rd, Orléans, ON

🏬 The Space - River Pizza sits in a no-frills building besides an Esso station on Innes Road, its red signage advertising pizza, subs, donairs and Italian and Canadian fare. There’s no patio or mood lighting here, just a neon “OPEN”. Inside is a compact, clean counter-service space with a couple of bistro tables by the windows, but this is really a pickup and delivery operation.

🍕 The Pizza - The toppings at River Pizza make for what we think is by some margin the best pizza in Orléans. They’re generous: bacon cooked in proper strips rather than sad pre-cooked crumbles, slightly crisped at the edges and deeply savoury; fresh mushrooms with that early bite that comes from not overcooking them; and pepperoni browned and crisped beautifully in the deck oven’s radiant heat. The curst is easily one of the best we’ve had in our suburb, a perfect balance of chew and crunch with just a whisper of char on the underside.

Made fresh daily, the crust has genuine structure, a rim that puffs up golden and blistered, and a subtle char from the stone deck you simply can’t replicate with a conveyor oven, the kind of crust that makes you eat the last centimetre instead of leaving it on the plate. The homemade creamy garlic dipping sauce was a fitting companion, rich and garlicky without being aggressive.

📍 2520 St. Joseph Blvd, Orléans, ON

🏬 The Space - Located at 2520 St.Joseph Blvd, an address locals may recognize for another reason: it’s the same space that was once home to the beloved Kozy Nest, a breakfast and brunch spot that anchored the community for 25 years before closing. It’s a bittersweet bit of local history, but it’s nice to see the space carrying on as another community-rooted eatery, and the familiar address makes Louis’ easy to find whether you’re a longtime resident or just passing through.

🍕 The Pizza - The first thing you’ll notice about the pizza here is its thickness, almost deep dish in its heft, a surprise that will delight anyone who likes a big, doughy bite. The crust had clearly been made fresh, with a satisfying crispiness and chew. The toppings are massively generous, pepperoni with a nice kick, mushrooms well-distributed throughout, and plentiful multi-cheese melted to golden perfection. The sauce is a bit touch on the runny side, but the flavour is well-seasoned and a touch tangy. All things considered, a very tasty pizza experience.

🏬 The Space - Tucked into a strip plaza on Voyageur Drive, Aroma Pizzeria is at its heart a takeout and delivery operation, but what greets you is something increasingly rare in quick-service pizza: genuine warmth and considered design. The new ownership have invested thoughtfully in the space. It is in a word, lovely. Warm without being kitschy, Italian-inflected without leaning into cliché, and for a takeout-only spot remarkably inviting, the kind of place you linger in while waiting for your order because you want to, not because you have to.

🍕 The Pizza - The pizza here is very good. Aroma turns out pies with a properly generous application of cheese, the kind that stretches in long, satisfying pulls and bubbles into golden-brown peaks, over a crus that’s yielding at the centre and structured at the edge, with just enough char to suggest real time in a hot oven. A mushroom and pepperoni pie, deceptively simple and ruthlessly revealing of quality, held up admirably, the cheese melted into a patchwork of golden and ivoery and beautifully caramalized at the high points. This is the kind of pizza that reminds you two toppings is sometimes more than enough.
