Hello ORLÉANS!

Welcome to the 67th edition of Orléans Connect. As always, welcome new subscribers! 👋 Given this edition’s number, we just hope no teens or pre-teens are subscribed to this newsletter. Though from what our daughter tells us, we’re old, and that particular meme is not cool anymore… so you know, there’s that.

Many thanks to everyone that send in their pet photos last week! 📸… we’re getting very close to revealing the prize pool for the contest, so stay tuned for that! Make sure you’re following is on Instagram and Facebook.

The spatial layout of modern Orléans directly reflects the land divisions established by mid-19th-century pioneer families. Initially known as the Village of Saint-Joseph d'Orléans, the community emerged along the boundary lines of Gloucester and Cumberland Townships. Early settler families carved out large agricultural tracts from the dense forest, establishing property boundaries that still dictate modern road alignments, commercial zones, and public spaces.

Many thanks to Ashley M. for submitting Cookie. He was found a scared and tiny 6 week old kitten by the side of the road in 2022. He’s now one of the sweetest cats with the biggest purrsonality.
