Tucked inside Shawarma Palace in Orléans is a dessert counter that feels like it teleported in from somewhere a lot more tropical. Honey Drip, a Lebanese owned establishment, is a bright, fruit-forward little spot built around fresh juice cocktails (never bottled), Ashta cream, Belgian chocolate crepes and waffles, and a whole lot of honey. Between the living wall of greenery spilling across the ceiling, the neon signage, and dessert plating that practically begs to be photographed, it makes a strong first impression before you have even tasted anything. I stopped in to see whether the flavour lived up to the visuals, and walked out with a Mango Tango, a Triple Vibes, and a Fruity Choco crepe to report back on.
THE LOCATION
Honey Drip is one of those finds that rewards people who pay attention, because it does not occupy its own standalone storefront. Instead, it lives inside Shawarma Palace, sharing the space like a colourful little dessert kiosk that has set up shop in the back. Once you spot the neon HONEY DRIP sign glowing in orange and white, you know you have found the right spot.

The vibe is bright and intentionally Instagram friendly. The standout feature is a massive living wall of greenery dotted with small red blooms that spills across the ceiling and frames the counter, all outlined with warm LED strip lighting. Light wood panelling, a wall of cedar shelving stacked with branded white tubs, and a hexagonal hanging sign with that signature dripping honey motif tie the whole aesthetic together. There is a gelato case up front, juice and topping stations visible behind the glass, and big windows letting in natural light. It feels clean, modern, and tropical, which is a fun contrast to the shawarma joint it shares walls with.

THE MENU

The menu is dessert and drink focused, leaning heavily into fresh fruit, honey, and Ashta (a creamy Middle Eastern clotted cream). It breaks down into a few main categories:
Juice Cocktails, which are the signature offering. These include the Honeydrip Special (a mix of mango, strawberry and avocado juice topped with exotic fruit, Ashta, nuts and honey), Avocado Paradise, Avocado Strawberry, Chavo Cado, Mango Tango, Strawberry Bliss, and Triple Vibes. Large sizes generally land at $11.99 to $12.99, with medium options around $9.99.

Fresh Juice in mango, strawberry, and orange ($6.99 medium / $9.99 large).
Milkshakes in Lotus, Oreo, Nutella, and Strawberry (around $11.99), plus pudding cups and a Dubai Strawberry Cup.
Crepes and Waffles, made with 100% Belgian chocolate, in Choco ($12.99), Fruity Choco ($15.99), Dubai Choco ($16.99), and Fruity Dubai Choco ($18.99).
The Honey Drip Ashta Plate ($12.99), a shareable dessert platter.
The visual presentation is a real selling point. The crepes and waffles arrive as wide, flat canvases of marbled dark and white chocolate piped into hypnotic zebra-stripe patterns, edged with fanned strawberry slices and cubes of fresh mango. It is the kind of plating built to be photographed before it is eaten.
THE FOOD & DRINKS
We tried three things: the Mango Tango, the Triple Vibes, and the Fruity Choco crepe.
The drinks were amazing, to say the least. The Mango Tango is a vibrant, almost neon-orange blend of sun-ripened mango, honey, and Ashta, and it delivered on the tropical promise. Sweet, smooth, and refreshing without being cloying. The Triple Vibes was equally tasty, a layered drink that looks as good as it tastes, with distinct bands of colour stacked in the cup. Both were excellent, and you can taste that the fruit is fresh, which tracks with the bins of hand-cut strawberries and ripening bananas visible behind the counter.

The Fruity Choco crepe came with one small hiccup. They did not have properly ripe bananas on the day I came in, so I swapped in strawberry and mango instead. The crepe itself was good, with that rich Belgian chocolate and fresh fruit doing most of the heavy lifting. That said, I suspect the banana would have rounded it out and pushed the flavour higher. It is hard to fault a place for being honest about not serving underripe fruit, but it did mean the dish was missing one of its intended notes.

THE ORLÉANS CONNECT OVERALL RATING
⭐️ 4.4 stars out of 5
Honey Drip earns a strong 4.4 stars. The drinks are in the bordering on excellent territory, the presentation across the board is gorgeous, and the fresh-fruit-and-honey concept is a refreshing departure from the usual dessert options around Orléans. The Fruity Choco crepe was good rather than great on this visit, held back only by the missing bananas, and I would happily go back to try it as intended.
If you find yourself at Shawarma Palace, it is worth walking a little further inside to see what Honey Drip is offering. Come for a juice cocktail, stay for the chocolate art, and do not be surprised if you end up taking a few photos before your first sip.
