Orléans Food Spot Review - Taproom260

A gastro-bar where the food is as good as the decor...

Taproom260 is one of Orléans favourite gastropubs. Featuring a menu that is just the right size, this Orléans food spot is hitting a lot of the right notes . Located at 260 Centrum Blvd, and near the Shenkman Arts Centre, Taproom260 boasts a relatively traditional pub-like-restaurant menu. It’s the perfect place to go for drinks after you’ve caught a show at Shenkman. But in addition to the food and great atmosphere, Taproom260 features regular events including trivia and comedy nights.

THE SPACE

Featuring a very large space, Taproom260 is one of the larger restaurants that I’ve been to in Orléans, and the decor which features a variety of wooden motifs spread throughout the restaurant is quite on point. Additionally, it features a decent sized patio. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and really makes you feel like you could adapt the space into any sort of need. If you’re looking to rent a large space somewhere in Orléans for a party or corporate event, this might be a good choice.

Maybe my favourite part of the decor is the wrap-around bar, which when not saddled with a buffet, can likely seat at least 2 dozen people.

THE MENU

Taproom260’s menus is mostly what you’d expect: a variety of starters, flatbreads, wings, nachos, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, mains, rice bowls, and a kids menu, that is a touch better than most kids menus. You can see the entire menu here.

Of-course, there is no shortage of beers on tap, cocktails, and wines.

WHAT WE HAD

While we’ve been to Taproom260 before, this trip featured the Mother’s Day brunch which was, given the fact that it’s not food featured on their regular menu, quite delicious. Nevertheless, we all stuffed ourselves silly with a variety of eggs, bacon, sausages, and some of the best potatoes we’ve had anywhere in Orléans. We rate the brunch food a solid 4.5 out of 5 ⭐️’s.

Terrific selection of drinks, food, and the space is cavernous. What’s not to like?
