If you’re a fan of seafood, it’s become increasingly difficult to find a place to eat said seafood without having a good long cry about what that food (that is now making its way through your digestive system) just did to your wallet. Because let’s face it, seafood isn’t exactly the cheapest food option on most restaurant menus.
But what happens when you combine literal bucket-loads of seafood with a family-friendly atmosphere that’s designed to sell seafood by the bucket? Turns out, better value than most places you’ll have seafood at. Enter Seau de Crabe - located at 2284 Tenth Line Rd.
Seau de Crabe is a Quebec-based seafood boil chain that continues its push into Ontario, and of-course Orléans with plenty of seafood options including crab, lobster, shrimp, mussels, snow crab, crawfish, calamari and more.
THE LOCATION
Featuring a large, colourful space, Seau de Crabe has designed their interior for a few purposes: to be a welcoming dining space for friends and family dining, and to allow the workers to quickly clean each table and booth. Because after all, the kind of seafood you’ll be having here gets messy right quick. There’s a reason they give you both an apron and plastic gloves to help tame the carnage of seafood bits and juices that tend to fly during said process of carnage.
With big windows, plenty of light, seafood art throughout, fun decor flourishes, lots of large booths, Seau de Crabe is simply a fun place to eat.
THE FOOD
The conceit of Seau de Crabe is that you pick a seafood bucket, choose your flavour sauce, spice level, sides and add-ons. And while this “bucket for everyone” approach might be difficult to agree on if everyone’s preferences in your dining party are different, there’s plenty of side and non-seafood options as well along with a small kids menu.
Our bucket arrived and it was larger than we expected which confirms our narrative about getting plenty of value out of the food you order here. Everything that we sampled was tender, juicy, and well prepared. We asked for the sauces to be on-the-side and that was easily accommodated for our group.
The lobster was excellent, the crab equally so, and the fried calamari was quite good, especially considering its low price for a medium size at $13.99.

THE ORLÉANS CONNECT RATING
⭐️ 4.2 stars out of 5
There’s no question that seafood fans now have a place in Orléans to satiate their seafood cravings with delicious and plentiful options. What’s actually surprising is that in times of $40-$50 price points of seafood entrees at many other restaurants, Seau de Crabe manages to avoid such high price points and deliver plenty of value for what you’ll wind up paying.
