BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT 🔦

This week’s Orléans business spotlight is… 🥁 The Barley Mow located at 2034 Tenth Line Rd📍

The Barley Mow is an amazing Gastro Food Pub with seven locations in the Ottawa area, including right here in Orléans! Each location offers a wide variety of pub food designed to satiate every appetite. Appies, shareable, soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, fish n’chips, pasta, stews, and a kids menu will give you plenty of options to choose from. They even serve brunch on weekends! Beyond that, the Barley Mow is an endless source of live entertainment and pub trivia, with 12 acts performing in February alone!

As always, if you wind up visiting them, make sure to tell them Orléans Connect sent you.

In 1856, Monseigneur Bruno Guigues, the first Bishop of the Diocese of Bytown (now Ottawa), commissioned a formal land subdivision plan for Orléans. The plan was registered in 1858 as the first official layout of the village of St-Joseph's (Orléans), establishing the community as a structured settlement, rather than scattered homesteads.

Many thanks to Vicki A. for sending in a photo of Felicity, the Yoga Cat. She is definitely not impressed by the Downward Dog yoga pose...😜
