Hello ORLÉANS!
Welcome to the 39th edition of Orléans Connect.
As always, welcome new subscribers!
As we get closer to the ✨ holidays, we’ll continue to cover all the great holiday-themed events happening in Orléans, but in the meanwhile, we’re once again asking for more Pets of Orléans entries.
PET PHOTOS WANTED!! - Every week we feature a new pet 🐈 🐕 in the newsletter and we’re working our way up to a special contest where we’ll be crowning the cutest pets in Orléans with a special prize. But before we can, we need more of your pet submissions. So, if you haven’t done so yet, send us a photo 📸 of your cute pet(s) to [email protected] with the name of your pet and a sentence or two about them.
And of course… don’t forget to check out this week’s poll ❓ at the bottom of the newsletter. This week we’re asking: What’s your favourite place in Orléans for a romantic date? ⬇️
Ok, let’s get to it... here’s what’s happening in Orléans over the next seven days: ⬇️

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT 🔦
This week’s Orléans business spotlight is… 🥁 … OTTAWA SCHOOL OF ART - Orléans Campus located at the Shenkman Arts Centre.
The Ottawa School of Art provides specialized courses in life drawing, landscape painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, lithography, watercolour, etching, printmaking, and various workshops. Youth programs cover multimedia, animation, cartooning, sculpture, pottery, drawing, and painting. Beyond courses, the OSA features artist-in-residence workshops, a professional gallery showcasing local and international artists, an Arts Fundamentals Certificate, a one-year Portfolio Development Program, and a three-year Diploma Program.

Some concerns regarding privacy, fairness and civil liberties are being brought to bear about Ottawa Police’s use of AI in surveillance tech in some Ottawa neighbourhoods.

Many thanks to Judy M. for sending in a photo of Penny, looking ferocious in her Lion Halloween costume. Penny is a dog that Judy babysits from time to time and she always gets special photo shoots when Dad is away.
