🍓 June 20th - 23rd - Strawberry picking season is here, and Proulx Farms kick-off their pick-your-own season starting around June 20th-23rd. Check out their Facebook page for details.

🧡 June 20th - Adaawewigamig Presents the Summer Solstice Indigenous Market on Friday June 20th from 12 PM - 9 PM. Being held at the Byward Market. This event features Indigenous food, 60+ vendors, live entertainment and fashion show.
👵 Saturday June 21st - Join MP Marie-France Lalonde and MPP Stephen Blais for the annual Strawberry Social & Bingo! A fun afternoon of sweet treats, great company, and classic bingo. 1 PM - 3 PM.

📚Saturday June 21st - Head over to ZunZun Little Free Library to celebrate their 3rd Anniversary! They are hosting an Open Garage Day - explore a variety of free books for all ages! 12 PM - 4 PM.

🐶 Sunday June 22nd - June Breeze Market (Dog Friendly) - This amazing outdoor market features over 30 local vendors, free entry, free parking, and a dog-friendly atmosphere. It's the perfect way to spend your day! Don't miss out on the fun! 10 AM - 3 PM.

🍺🐕 Sunday June 22nd - Critter Jungle are hosting the very first Bark n’ Brew event where you can bring your pup along to sample from the dog specific menu while you enjoy a brew yourself. Choose from four pre-made menu items or build your own dog “brew” and paw-coterie board! 2 PM - 6 PM.

🧘♀️ Monday June 23rd - Get ready for some greenhouse Yoga! Jardins Bergeron Gardens are holding their Greenhouse Yoga classes on June 23rd. $25 / class. Send an email to [email protected] to reserve your spot. 6 PM - 7 PM.

🌳 🎵 Wednesday June 25th - The Navan Community Association is holding their Music in the Park series. Refreshments available for purchase. Make sure to bring your lawn chair and enjoy the sounds of the Valley Mountain. Rain or shine. 7 PM.

Market season is in full swing and there are so many wonderful markets in and around Orléans:
🫛 Every Thursday - The Orléans Farmers Market is on from 11 AM - 4 PM. Visit the 35+ local vendors in the parking lot of the 📍Ray Friel Community Centre
🧑🌾 Every Saturday - The Cumberland Farmers Market! This dog-friendly market also has accessible parking and public restrooms on-site for your conveinence. 9 AM - 1 PM📍1115 Dunning Road, Cumberland
🥒 Every Saturday - The Metcalfe Farmers’ Market has over 45+ local producers, free coffee and cookies (9 AM - 10 AM - while supplies last!), live music, a petting zoo, pet-friendly vibes, and plenty of free parking!📍2821 8th Line Rd, Metcalfe
🌻 The Original Navan Market runs on June 22nd from 9:30 AM to 2 PM with over 100 vendors. The market runs rain or shine so grab your boots and umbrella and support local businesses.

💨 Next time you head out to the Cumberland Ontario-Community Association Wilsondale Trails and make it to the bench at Luc’s Loop you’ll notice a recently installed “Windphone”.
🐢 The Friends of Petrie Island are hiring. They’re looking for students finishing Grade 12 to fill their park monitor summer student position. More details here.

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT 🔦
This week’s Orléans business spotlight is…. 🥁 …. the PETRIE ISLAND CANOE CLUB - located at 795 Tweddle Rd.
The Petrie Island Canoe Club 🛶 offers a wide range of paddling programs for all ages, levels and abilities. Its mission is to support and promote the development of paddlers who can take pride in both individual and team accomplishments.
But it’s not just for kids, they also offer a variety of paddling options for adults including Dragon Boat teams 🐲.
Their season kicks off on June 23rd and they’ve also got summer camp registrations, though you’ll have to check with them on current availability.
